Entry #7: Eyes

Hi blog,

Lately I'm being asked: "Teach me how to draw eyes like yours," or "How you did such eyes? I can't do it but I want to learn how," or something like "I want to make eyes like yours."

I really can't teach people how to do it BUT I can show people how I did it. I thought I will make a video to make it easier but then it will take up a lot of time T.T and I'm super bad at video editing. So I will take an easy way out: Blogging!!! with PICTURES!

First, let's take a look at the final product of my eyes:

If you have noticed, my favorite style is to make a long end for my eyes. Think of phoenix eyes; or cat eye as people called it. I have tried other style as well but only this one fits well with my face. Of course there is variation of this style as well; such as: Longer end, higher end, thin line, thick line, sharper corners, and under line. Each of those types depending on the day: good day, bad day, happy day, feeling motivated day, wanna be sexy day, or just want to be normal day. All variation depends on my mood, I can't really tell for sure.

So basically what I use: Pencil eyeliner, and pen eyeliner.

First: I would draw the outline of my eyes with the pencil eyeliner, it helps to cover up that white portion of the under lashes. I will stop right at the end of my eye, not trying to make a tail or to kick it up, just gently glide the pencil eyeliner around my eyes to shape them.

Second: Using the liquid pen eyeliner to fill in the pencil line. However, I will stop at 2/3 of my eyes, and that 1/3 at the end of my eyes, I will close my eyes and slightly move the liner up and kick it out to create that tail at the end.

I'm not good with video, if somehow I manage to make a video for this I will include it in. For now it is how I draw out my eyes. If anyone has a question, just comment here OR you can ask me on twitter!

I've recently changed my twitter account; here is the new one: runonh2ends

Alright~ I will see you guys in the next one!!! XDD

Peace out! XDD

[Thought 01] When you have turned into...

You know the feeling of when you just want to just be lazy and do not care how you look like to others? Well, I do not mean in a sarcastic way. What I mean is there is a certain time in your life that you decide to not be "pretty" and let yourself be a bum...?... (I seriously can't think of a word to describe it now) but anywho! I have never thought that I would fall into that path because I do not see myself as one. However, these passed three months...or five, I have found myself turning into a bum.

I will be honest, I did not know that I am one at first. Everything happens so naturally and calmly, like one small step after another, and that has slowly led me to being a certified lazy bum.
I don't know how it had started but I know that one day I was late for work and put on any clothes within my reach. I did not even check the mirror before leaving the house! That pretty much tells you I did not put makeup on either. After six hours of tutoring plus an hour drive, I came back and stood in front of the mirror for the first time that day. I was having an astonished shock as I looked at myself: panda eyes, dried lips, uneven toned skin, fizzy hair, and I am in my pajamas. I couldn't believe I was going to work in such sluggish present. And I told myself that was the LAST time.... and it is still happening, or even worse.

It was going in this order:
- No contact: "I'll probably take naps between sessions; having contact lens on will be a problem."
- No eye shadow: "It will be distracting, it won't be a problem to not have it on"
- No eyeliner: "I keep rubbing it off due to sleepiness or eye irritation caused by strong wind."
- No foundation: "Fuck! I'm late!!!!!!!"
- Undone hair: "Shit! I'm so fucking late!!!!"
- Random outfit, and then it has been jeans and T-shirts for convenience purpose: "I'm so sleepy *yawn*"

So as you see, at the end of the line, I have successfully turned myself into a little bum without realizing it.

I will say though, it is not wrong to feel comfy but in my case, I was a bit TOO comfy...and that was the result. After realizing this, I have also notice, not just the way I present myself, even my daily life is being affected by this as well.

I have started to procrastinate, slack off, and not being productive. I kept on delaying and making excuses when I do not finish a project. I blamed it on slack of sleep and tiredness. Even my boyfriend started to remind me that I'm being TOO comfy lately, of course I ignored him with a thought "guys only care about look". No offense but that is the pride me talking lol.

Therefore, after taking a second look at myself today in the mirror, I have come to a realization, I need to stop this. This will be hard but I have to go through it. The first step in this change is:...starting now!

That should be the mind set I am on: do it NOW, NOT later!

Fin!

Entry #6: Face & brows

Hello blog,

It has been awhile again LOL I'm sorry for keeping on MIA-ing, but I couldn't find my inspiration lately until today! XDDDD

So apparently, I received a lot of comments about what products I used on my face and if they are good. And some people asking me what is a contouring as well lately, since it is the trend now I think. Well I will use this opportunity to answer most of those questions.

1. What products I'm using.

I have no specific brands because I keep on changing the brands. I do believe that everyone has a chance to be perfect and I give every product a chance to prove to me that their ingredients will work wonder! Of course, there are products I keep on using because they are REALLY GOOD. Therefore, to make it quick, the picture below will answer this question for me.

Just like everyone else, I do use primer, correction cream, BB cream, concealer, loose powder, high definition powder and bronze blush. Only thing I don't use nowadays is foundation. It is not that I don't use it, it's just I haven't found the one I like yet. I usually put on a layer of foundation when I go out clubbing because it will bring out that night time effect when I take pictures, hehehe. As for everyday makeup, I exclude that out of my list so my face won't get too cakey...*ugh*  I know it does look like a lot and yes it is a lot!!!!!! But do my face look like a plate of cake? NOPE! Why? Because it is all depend on how you use them and where you apply them. Just know the right amount for each layer and you are good. Here is what my face look like after I am done with them.

P.S: Please excuse the tired eyes, the freaking sunlight hurts my eyes badly.

2. How do I draw my brows?

I don't even try to draw my brows. I'm a lucky girl for having the awesome mom. On the day I was born, she used a pencil and drew an outline of my brows, she said it's some kind of beauty trick that will help my brows grow out better and in the way she wants it. So yea, if you want to know more, I will have to ask my mom to teach you LOL. So as I was saying, my brows are naturally full and I have never plucked or waxed them (I'm serious, never even try). Of course my brows can't be that perfect line, I do use brow filler to fill in the imperfect part of my brows. So I just fill in to make it more define. You can totally see it from my picture right?

As for filling in the brows, I use the usual brow drawing caluclation. 1. Place pencil brow straight up from the nose to see where the brows begin, 2. Place the brow pencil from side of nose diagonally going pass the pupil to see where the arch of brow, and last (3) place brow pencil from nose to end of eye shape to see the end of the brow. Just those simple steps. Nothing crazy since it is the first lesson we learn in makeup class on the first day.

Another thing I need to put down though: If you have perfect brows, don't even try to mess them up. Not that everyone needs a correction on their brows to make them look good. NO! You don't mess up with natural beauty. If you have perfect brows, you are lucky and you should be happy. Don't try to change it. Because our brows' shape helps shaping our eyes and that what makes them perfect! UNLESS! you are one of those people who shave off their brows, then yeah, you need to reshape your brows. *shrugs*

3. What I use before bedtime for skin care?

Philosophy. I only trust that brand. I have used others, they don't work well on my skin. I like their help me and eye hope; really works wonder. Besides that, I will go into your usual talk: GO TO SLEEP EARLY!!!!! I mean it, if you want to have a healthy looking skin, just don't stay up too late. Because staying up late will mess up your skin sleeping cycle, and when the skin don't get the sleep it wants, it will go crazy on us and I believe we all know what crazy thing it does LOL Eat lot of fruit and veggies. Meats are ok but don't over use it. Take meat with veggies in your daily meal will help a lot. Drink water and avoid coffee. If you want to stay up in the morning, drink green tea, it will help to detox your body much better than coffee. Caffeine only worsen your skin cell and make them "getting older" LOL

Here is a pic of my complete makeup WITHOUT contact lens.

In the next post, I will talk about the eyeliner and the cateye. I got lot of requests on teaching them how to draw eyes like mine. I will talk about that next week for sure.

Alright blog, have a nice day~ me is going to work!!! XDDDD *CHU* to all my lovlies XDDD
